Mozart in the City brings together around 20 musicians, many trained at Salzburg’s Mozarteum. Since 2002, the ensemble has performed chamber music and orchestral programmes for concerts, ceremonies and special occasions.
From chamber music to orchestra.
The ensemble performs in the size and musical form that best fits the occasion: from a string duo or quartet to larger chamber music formations and the Mozart Chamber Orchestra Salzburg.
Its repertoire focuses on Mozart and the great classical tradition, complemented by selected works that suit the setting, venue and atmosphere of each event.
The artistic direction is led by Mag. Balazs Moldiz.

We provide the music for the Hohensalzburg Fortress concerts. Our musicians perform as the Salzburger Mozart Ensemble or the Mozart Kammerorchester Salzburg.
